I saw them in your eyes
I knew long before you told me
You seemed to be in shock
When I didn't cry
I saw you try to cover it
But the eyes don't lie
I prepared for your depart
long before you said goodbye
So when you told me I just gave a nod
That seemed to throw you off
so I said farewell
I watched as you packed your bags
and carried them to your truck
and with on final wave
I watched your tail lights disappear
You called me up this morning
But I wasn't home
You said that you were sorry
And wanted to come home
I smiled slightly then hit delete
then I got on with my day without you there
