Journey of a Broken Heart

by Twisted Heart   Apr 2, 2007

A heart was cast upon the shore
Broken by the oceans roar

Cracked with pain it now lays
Disassembled and decayed.

Eternal home among the sands
Fought for life but lost its stance

Gripped by hurt and torn into
Hope was tipped into the blue

Inside the swell of pain it fell
Just moments short of living hell

Kept by the sea to run its course
Love lingers dead, a shallow corpse

Most tried to find a shelter there
Nocturnal comfort's tending care

Opaque in tune with haunted dreams
Pure anger found with silent screams

Quiet now upon death's sands
Removed from life with hungry hands

Surrendering the loss of time
Tore from the soul and from the mind

Until the tremble of the break
Visceral to the heart it quaked

Within the vessel lies the pain
Xenophobic to a lover's reign

Yearning for the soul's release
Zounds now beneath the ocean deep.
