Spirit Bridge

by OHgreenman   Apr 2, 2007

Painful hearing your voice
During our nightly ritual.
Magenta heart melting
Her man of crystal.

Two souls long separated
Closeness what they desire.
True love and lost years
Fuel their internal fire.

Spirits of yesteryear
Clenching the present.
To find a way
Unwilling to relent.

Yearning for daily embrace
To satisfy our souls.
Construct a bridge of distance
Reaching our eternal goal.

Bonded souls of the past
True love ageless hereafter.
Internal fire satisfied
Distant bridge closed thereafter.

This piece is so wonderful, with breath- taking imagery. The first and the last stanza are my favorites, I especially like the lines:
    -Magenta heart melting
    Her man of crystal.-
You have amazing wording through the whole piece, and the flow is excellent.

This poem right here was just so carefully written I had to read it the same way. The rhyming done beautifully, and the use of words was excellent.
