Orgy Of Critics

by Gem   Apr 2, 2007

At the end of the day
Who are we trying to impress
Dying our hair different colors
And trying to weigh less

Everyone is trying hard
To be someone their not
You should just be happy
With the life you've got

Taking part in silly diets
In the race to be as thin
As the girls in magazines
Cos being fat is such a sin

Pasting on all of the make-up
Buying all designer clothes
Always pouting and frowning
In an supermodel pose

It's an orgy of critics
That we're trying to impress
When did our world get into
This super shallow mess?

Great message and one I fully agree with. Everyone should just be happy with who they are and when you can appreciate that, then others will appreciate you.

A wonderful message in this poem. I really enjoyed reading it. Me and some opf my friends where actually talking about this the other night and it relates wonderfully to that. Kinda freaky to read this after that lol.
