I thought it had quite a bittersweet ending.. but it sounded great and i think it fit really well.
The rest of the poem was good as well Jeannie, your description was down to a T.

This is a delightful piece, and a joy to read. I've been somewhat jaded and melancholy of late (something which has all but driven me from P&Q) and this was a really good poem to shake off those cobwebs. Thank you. :-)
