Erupting My Fears

by Kirsty palmer   Apr 2, 2007

As the trees are swaying outside my window I stop to wonder why
What is causing this mighty wind to fall beneath the sky?
I look all around- squinting through the dust
Wondering what has disturbed the earths untouched crust
Where is my family? My brother of only four...
Where will we live if our house is washed ashore?
What will happen to me if my love and hope is washed away?
As the wind empties the things that are meant to stay
The thought of me dying is not that scary to me
It is only the thought of the people I will no longer see

How can this be right?
Me not caring if I die tonight?
How will the world look if I am dead?
Will it be a better place instead?
The faces of those who laughed at how I look
The diary I write- my innocent book
Everybody must hate me- even the mirror
As I see my reflection I do nothing but quiver
So cold and lonely as I hold back my tears
As the world erupts my biggest fears
