Passion
(pas-sion)
A noun.
An intense or overpowering emotion such as love, joy, hatred, or anger.
I.E. I loved him with a burning flaming passion.

Passion lives in all of us. Whether it's the fluttering you feel in your heart as a cute guy walks past, or the disgust of looking at the lunch menu (I hate spinach pizza with a burning flaming passion!), or just getting mad at your science teacher for assigning the same homework assignment twice. Everyone is full of passion, in small meager flames and huge burning bonfires. Passion defines us as people, defines us as human beings. One girl could feel passionate about her lover, and another guy could be passionate about his picks for the Final Four. But whether we want it to or not, passion burns inside of our souls, and when it is ready to escape, there is no stopping it. Once you see that boy come over to you, and your heart goes from a fluttering butterfly to a nest of angry hornets, theres nothing to stop you from blurting out, "Hi! Uh...I didn't know you still went to this school!" and then get laughed at by your friends and his. The passion inside of you wells from infatuation to humiliation, and you retire to the bathroom to sob your eyes out. In another scenario, your girlfriend and you are planning a huge date tonight: dinner, a movie, the whole deal. About a half-hour before your date, your girlfriend calls and tells you that she has a horrible cold and can't make it. You are...in a word...distraught. The flame of passion in your heart rages from excitement to anger. But as you realize how much you love her, the flame ebbs, and the anger turns to love as you pull out a can of microwavable chicken soup and head to her house with an old DVD. Passion resides in everyone, whether it be a girl getting ready for first love, or a guy just trying to make it through the basketball season. Love, anger, joy, sadness...they are all outbursts of passion. The amount of passion you have cannot be counted...it amounts to only as much as you are willing to share with others. Dim your anger, share your joy, love and be loved, and cry when you're sad. Let your flame of passion be passed on to everyone, because the passion in our lives is dominant...and the love in our lives is desperately needed. Desperately.
