A Plea for Freedom

by robin milford   Apr 2, 2007

Wrapped up tied down
A wild animal in a cage
this is not the way
things should be
Wild animals must be free
to roam
to soar high in the sky
to do as they please
But still I sit in my cage
tied down to your house chores
untie me
let me loose
free me
to do as I please

    The stops (where you began a new line, not sentence, line) were a little funky. I dunno, something about this poem, I just didn't like it very much. It didn't intrigue me. It wasn't explained as to why you are a sort of prisoner. It just wasn't thrilling to me. I don't know if I should rate it. I'd give it a low rating so I won't unless you request for me to.
