The Ocean

by Hey Brittknee   Apr 2, 2007

The dust of the road
Swirled and cleared
Opening up to the
Bright blue sky,
As the ocean below
Reflected it's color.

Watching as the
Light and feathery clouds
Move through the sky
Making shapes,
And seeming to just
Roll over the water.

Running through
The cool sand,
Screaming,
With a girlish scream
As he surprised her
Hugging her from behind.

Spinning and turning,
Dancing to the song of the ocean.
He put his fingers to her lips,
Softly,
As if to say there were no needs for words,
Only to dance until the dark of night.

(my poem for english...ha you could tell since its not at all dark in any way)

I feel sad that the one grading was Mrs. Stroh... She doesn't give justice to poems, just the people who wrote them

Definately another side of you (but we all have to impress our teachers and make them think we're "normal", right? :-D ). Anyway, I really enjoyed reading this poem!

    I love that feeling.
You write with such emotion.. it's excellent.
I could almost feel the wind rolling in from the sea
    Amazing imagery
    Well done!
