Can you understand me

A door stands in my way
Keeping me from understanding
Finding who I am

My fears flow through my body
I wonder if anyone really knows who I am

I wonder if they care to know
My thoughts, hopes, fears
Tangled in a web
Boxed away carelessly as though it was nothing

I cry at night
My thoughts
Fears racing through my head

I scream trying to let it all out
But it only makes it hurt worse
As then more tears fall from my sad eyes

Though I know my friends would understand
I cannot help but keep it from them

My own fear keeping me scared
Again and again
As then I tell not a soul
