All the kids made fun of her
for never having anything to say
they all tormented her
until that fateful day.

It started out as no other
she sat in the back of the room
no one would talk to her
they all hated her, she assumed

As the bell rang to pass to the next class
someone pushed her down
she sat and picked up her books
while the teacher overlooked and frowned

Covering this poor girls arms
were bruises and scars
they told the story of her life
and the reason why her dad was behind bars

The teacher asked where they came from
but she just looked the other way
she never told anyone
they never seemed to care anyway

She ran to the bathroom
her face filled with tears
and remembered the memories
that caused all her fears

Her mother had passed away
less than three years ago
her father was a drunken man
but in front of people, it never seemed to show

When no one was around
he would hit his precious daughter
with her body bleeding and her feelings all torn up
she felt as if she was a pig in the slaughter

One time this man was so drunk
that he took an empty beer bottle
and smashed it on her head
no one seemed to notice the gash at all

A week later she arrived home from school
and found her dad passed out
for once she was happy
and found no reason to pout

As she did the laundry and cooked a meal
she noticed a shadow behind her
as she turned around and looked up
she realized it was the man she called "daddy, sir"

He grabbed her by the neck
and pulled out a knife
all along this little girl was screaming
trying to save her own life

Right as he was about to kill her
he whispered in her ear
that she was the reason her mother was dead
as he said that, her face filled with tears

There came a knock at the door
and someone yelling "police"

he dropped his daughter on the floor
and ran for his car keys

As it turns out
the neighbors overheard
the screaming
made by this little girl

Her father was arrested
and sent to jail for 12 years
But of course no one knows this
its only apart of her fears

As she sits in the bathroom of this school
no one bothers to give her a glance
she realizes that no one cares and never will
and she sees she has a chance

She pulls out a razor
and decided to end her life
right there in the bathroom
no one to give her a fight

They found her body later that day
with a note by her arm
it said that she was tired of the pain
that she was tired of the harm

At that point everyone realized
that this girl had a reason to be quiet
they all knew they treated her bad
no one could deny it

If you know someone who doesn't seem to talk much
take the time to get to know them
you might find out that they have something to hide
and you might just end up saving them
