Babylon

by Beautiful Chaos   Apr 2, 2007

A gateway to the Gods,
We thought we'd never find,
A holy trinity found within,
Body, soul and mind.

Roll the stone back off your sins,
Let the light shine through,
Before the darkness swallows you whole,
Before there's nothing you can do.

The city lights can be so bright,
The lure can be too much,
You can lose it all be fore you start,
Before you know loves touch.

Kingdoms fall, only time survives,
Memories are all we leave,
This Babylon's fading into the past,
As each new day is conceived.

So kiss the sunshine, walk in its glory,
Before the night does fall,
You never know when morning comes,
If, still, you'll have it all.

Ah, wonderful. The flow was perfect, as was the rhyming. The last stanza was definitely my favourite. :]

    Brilliantly written.
