Animals [Tanka]

by Infected with His Deadly Love   Apr 3, 2007

Animals scatter
In the wild so freely now
Leaves fall from the trees
Animals fight over food
The pretty nature blossoms

Tanka is a classic form of Japanese poetry related to the haiku with five unrhymed lines of five,
seven, five, seven, and seven syllables. (5, 7, 5, 7, 7)

    This was so pretty!
The imagery created vivid pictures for me and made me all smiley.
It flowed well throughout and I enjoyed the form of poetry.

    An excellent tanka =)
You managed to paint a picture with only five lines and it was beautiful yet realistic.
    Well done

    I LOVED IT! :D
    It made me smile, sweetheart.
It reminds me of one of those poems that junior high kids read, and it inspires them to write poetry. :]
