The sun starts to fade as the sky turns dark.
The lightning dances with each powerful arc.
Now everything still, as the rain starts to shimmer.
As the clouds expand, the light grows dimmer.
For every drop we must take as a blessing.
How long will it last, will keep us guessing.
The earth was parched and the air was dry
Now filled with hope as it pours from the sky.
So much is needed, but every little bit will aid.
The grass starts to drink as it lands on each blade.
The flowers start to bloom and show their beauty.
How long has it been for that is their duty.
The cracks in the soil slowly start to erase.
For things are changing it is time to embrace.
Now all the beauty has returned to this land.
Though we did not see it, someone had this planned.
