Woe

by Brittney Follett   Apr 3, 2007

Woe

Woe unto her who died by Cupid,
Trusting him with her heart...
Then her 'Knight in Shining Armor'
Decided to rip her life apart.

Woe unto him who became a father.
Killing an angel's sweet innocence.
Now the angels scarred for life,
Always scared and searching for guidance.

Woe unto them who think of fun.
Those who like to toy with fate.
They think they'll live forever...
But then they'll realize it's too late.

Woe unto humanity, filled with violence.
Always killing one and each other.
They need to step back and realize.
That the "enemy" is really "brother."

This was so sad, yet so beautifully written.
I loved the ending stanza, I thought it had a lot of impact.
Flow was flawless, and the imagery created vivid pictures for me.
    Wonderfully done.

The feeling in the poem is overwhelming and this is written well to express the pain. Keep tough and keep writing.
