Come forth and witness
A man's final fight
To get life back to normal
To make everything right
^^ Gripping start that made me very curious as to how this might go. Though it is in the sad poems so I guess that gives away that it can't be perfect.
The odds are stacked against him
He will most likely fail
There will be no happy ending
This is no survivor's tale
^^Wow I love the way you worded this, it just seems like the best way to keep the story going.
With the weight of her world
Resting upon his shoulders
The man must climb to the top
While kicking away boulders
^^It's nice that you mentioned her world so now its clear that the piece is about some kind of love, whether it be an actual lover or a sister is up to the reader at this point.
He must rescue her life
As well as his
Sound impossible?
Believe me it is
^^Truly a negative stanza, but it seems so plain. I mean something this short can't have emotion can it? Well, apparently it can because this is my favorite stanza simply because the emotion.
Continuing to fall
His body remains battered
And the pieces of his heart
Are completely scattered
^^ I honestly don't know what to say about this one. It made me realize that the love bit was true, but I don't know how to word what I think of this stanza.
A loss of pride
Follow a loss of hope
With each passing day
It gets harder to cope
^^ Everyone can relate to this in some way or another, great stanza.
So come one, come all
The see this man of mystery
"Who is he?" you ask
Well, this man is me
^^Oh my, this is the perfect ending. I love how you reveal that it is about a "you" and I love how it ties everything up very well.
Now on to the piece itself, I love the use of emotion. I mean it was so clear and even the things I haven't felt I was able to imagine feeling. The imagery of it being a "show" and watching all this happen is amazing. It adds to the tone, theme and style which are absolutely stunning. The tone is so emotional though depressing, and I think that was excellent for this piece. The theme was conveyed well, magnificent job on that. All in all, this piece is amazing.
