Look deep within my eyes, what do you see
A happy girl or a painful memory?
Do you see tears of joy? Or ones wrought from pain?
Can you see me lose my mind? That I'm insane?
Do you see a girl who's euphoric and kind?
Or a troubled teen confined within her mind?
How many times do you look me in the eye?
And say nothing when you see me cry?
Everyday I put on this happy face
And try to live this life full of grace
But every time I wake-up and look around
The strength I need is no where to be found
Its hard to tell you, I'm not so happy and free
I'm not the same person, I'm not the same me
Deep down inside, I know Ill never be the same
Like I'm the pawn in some stupid little game
A game that never ends except when I die
And the crooked dealer, is one who cheats and lies
But I sit this chair year after year
And watch the oceans flow from my blood and tears.
I cry and cry so the pain I can feel
Hoping to raise my ocean and kill the one who cheats and steals.
