Unbreakable Souls.

by Teria   Apr 3, 2007

I've allowed emotions to go haywire.
Minds and lost hearts to catch fire.

Sentimental value is nothing now.
Given it's ineffable fear,
it roams this world to
catch each broken tear.

Silence among those that live lost,
for bearing any love would have a cost.

Prefigures soar through
my child like mind
To make a realization,
that's too hard to find.

Unbreakable souls do not exist,
just as this life surrounded by mist.

^ I'm not sure why, but I found those lines to sound very lyrics, which I liked. I somehow managed to imagine this poem being sung.

I liked it a lot. Your word-choice was particularly strong.
