Our Memories

by Serena   Apr 4, 2007

You were always so kind
never thinking of yourself
others always being on your mind
you wanting to know how to be of help.

I remember sitting on the balcony
with you
and my cousin.
We would just sit, talk, look at the stars.

The three of us playing Scuba
You gambling your own money
to the winner.
Always thinking of others.

We had so many memories.
Calling you each Sunday.
The time it took
to dial
every number for that long
distance call.

And when you could fly in and visit,
that was great.
Since you'd be
just down the street.

But that time sitting on
that balcony.
That time, not knowing it would be
our last.

And when I got in the taxi,
my dad in front, and cousin and I
in back.

These memories i will
always have.

Your smile, your cooking,
your love.

And you're gone now.
No longer here to sit
on the balcony with,
and sit, talk, look at the stars.

But these memories will stay
with me and everyone you've touched.
And to this day,
I haven't forgotten you, nor ever will...
