I am misfortune and the rain

by aino   Apr 4, 2007

I am misfortune and the rain
I wonder how many teardrops have to fall
I hear the roaring drumming as emotions evolve
I see the shadowy clouds cover the sun
I want noise yet I desire solitude
I am misfortune and the rain
I pretend to fear the warmth
I feel the discomfort and lack of individuality
I touch the moist air as it wraps around
I worry the wind will blow me away
I cry the million puddles that flood our homes
I am misfortune and rain
I understand loneliness and fear
I say to please instead of speaking the truth
I dream of clearing the grey sky
I try to be louder then the thunder
I hope to stay long enough to know you
I am misfortune and the rain
