Body vs Soul

by Bridget   Apr 4, 2007

Where the once-living now lie,
Is marked by a single stone,
And there deep down in the earth,
You can hear a desperate moan.

The soul is crying out,
Struggling to break free,
For it's trapped within a body,
At freezing point degree.

Wandering through a graveyard,
The living feel that no one's dead,
Because really the graveyard's alive,
With screaming souls instead.

Beneath the grave it burns,
As the soul fights to escape,
The corpse erupts into flames,
Falling victim to some sort of rape.

The body slowly crumbles,
And the soul is now released,
It drifts up through the earth,
And into the world it is unleashed.

No one can rest in peace,
Once trapped beneath the dirt
The ash may still remain,
But the screams can no longer be heard.
