MY MASK

by vanessarrr   Apr 11, 2004

What lies beyond this thickened mask-
Is merely a question I always ask.
Painted with stripes of green and red,
Revealing envy, bloody tears I shed;
A hundred snakes surrounding a knife
Presents my hard, betrayed, wild life.
It also displays my broken heart-
Dark and gloomy, inches apart;
A link of chains composed of thorns
Of now wilted white roses I've adorned,
Forming a border in this facade-
And trickles of bliss that I once had;
This morbid mask portrays my face;
Displaying my life in many ways.
The choice is yours to pick which view
To look at me and see me through.

    thanks guys! just a note: it means that i sometimes experience hardships in life, like every1 else and it shows. like a mask, this is what people see at first and its the people's decision on how to look at me through these problems.
