Crimson and tears

by shane216   Apr 4, 2007

Love involves a series of Crimson and tears.
It begins with birth and continues through the years.
With a cry at birth we are cloaked in blood,
still draped with left overs of the amniotic flood.
Rivers run when a toddler scrapes a knee ,
Or gets stung bye a tiny bumble bee.
As little girls get older, and start their menstruation,
It seems as if the shed tears as a part of ventilation.
With Kiss, then touch, and finally penetration.
On the sheets their is a little blood saturation.
When the bouquet thorns prick the ring finger,
A father and mothers tears start to linger.
This cycle know matter how we try,
There will always be blood, and we will always cry.
