Creature of the Night

by BloodyEndings   Apr 4, 2007

Moving swiftly on silent feet
Driven by blood lust it stalks its prey
With one inhuman leap
In its jaws, its victim will stay

A creature of the night
Condemned to sleeping in graves
Now matter how hard it fights
Only blood it craves

Blood, it's source of undead life
Gleaming white teeth
Sharper than a knife
Pierces your flesh
Devoid of crimson liquid
You take your last breath

This was a very creative poem, i loved the way you brought the reader into it at the end.. just like *Simon Armitage* (famous poet) does in one of his writes!
