Writers Block

by Daisy if you do   Apr 4, 2007

Curses! My wretched thoughts forced my stay
Upon the desk pen and papers in disarray

In my head the words appear jumbled
One after another the papers all crumpled

Could it be I have writers block
Unable to portray words from my thoughts

Back and forth I walk pacing
Valuable time that I spend wasting

Uttering unintelligible chatter
Wondering what is the matter

Many openings and endings created
Collision of thoughts I've debated

Tap! Tap! Tap! My pen to the desk
Wretched thoughts that won't allow rest

Plenty to say about plenty of nothing
Oh how I wish to just write something

And that you just did, with quite the eloquence that I have begun to expect from you pen. I just had to read this since you read and responded to my reverse psychology poem on writers block.

A poem about not being able to write a poem! Very clever, well done. You certainly caught the frustration of the still pen.

Oh! I have felt this way before just about every time I sit down to write.
Plenty to say about plenty of nothing.
Though I'm no expert critique, try breaking it down into two line stanzas. I enjoyed this greatly. 5/5 Peace and Blessings
