Hiding a way

by jessica   Apr 4, 2007

Pain and Jealousy is all she knows,
They do not see it, or realize what is deep down.
She finds that it is the same, day after day.
The suffering is worse with each sunrise.
She wants to forget, she wants to be happy.
If only they would notice, if only they could see.
She suffers right in front of them.
She may be smiling, but tears are silently forming.
Her eyes become damp as she laughs with them.
Her face grows hot as the tears roll down.
She tries to hide her face,
For they will not understand.
Her friends try to pull her hands down,
She quickly wipes away the tears.
She just wants one more day.
She just wants to be happy, and laugh again.
Just one more time before she lets the darkness win.
Before it claims the last of her smile.
