Angel Eyes

by manic moments   Apr 5, 2007

**For all those people with beautiful angel eyes**

Pure hearts left still
Sacred angel eyes, so silent to hate
I don't really know why
I make those angel eyes my trait

Would you hold my bleeding hands
And tell me its all in my head?
Keep telling my angel eyes
Days after I am found dead

Tainted wings falling
From angels of deceit
With their mouths left screaming
And the nails protruding from their feet

Would you stop my tears
With your hatred and scorn
Would you tell me to stop breathing
And watch my angel eyes become fore-long?

Smiles of nothing remaining
Eyes of an angel looking away
Would you give me anything
To be the end of the day?

Would you give me angel wings?
Would you give me my angel eyes?
Would you watch them fall away from me?
Would you watch them lie?

Hands no longer holding on to me
My grip is loose, I'm slipping away
Gaunt angel smile
With tears that stray

Would you give me angel wings
Would you give me their halo too?
Would you give me my angel eyes?
So I may continue to stare at you...
