Icarus

Drawn by the darkness that i see
Torn by the weight of sadness that i feel
Drenched in sweat,
By the horrors i dare not speak
I lie awake with nothing but my heartbeat

I close my eyes,
Only to feel the pain inside.
Drawn to the emptiness
Like fireflies to flame.
Only to be burned and die
With excruciating pain

I try to run,
I try to hide,
But it always find me alone in the night
I accepted my fate
That there is no escape

No matter how much i try to hide
It comes to none.
For now i know
That the beast that i run from
Is inside
