Untiled

by MyBleedingWrists   Apr 5, 2007

"Eyes closed tight, clutching a teddy
a life so young is far from ready,
ears covered forgetting the fight
blocking the pain that will grace the night,
hidden in fear no one can see
a lifeless child's misery,
this sinful night be full of fright
for a murdered child will sleep tonight."

A smile on the outside yet dying within
as white as a ghost with pale skin
kicked, punched, battered and a beating
week and a half without even eating,
hurt by those who cared the most
tears fall to the endless call
of suffering and silence that echo each day
waiting for pain to subside away,
all that's left is now to pray.

Fear starts to show as the alcohol infects
screaming and shouting the punches connect,
darkness falls as the light calls
pleads of mercy go unheard,
strangling the life while eyes draw a close
the sin of sin's and nobody knows.

"A victim of violence at such a young age
just 5 years old her life was a cage,
taken by family that just didn't care
no one answered her silent prayer,
this sinful night was full of fright
for a murdered child sleeps tonight."

*This is another oldish poem I've dug up
off my external hard drive,
it's about physical child abuse,
hope you all like*
