The Butterfly Effect

by James   Apr 5, 2007

Windswept tails
Of comets long lost
Starlit space
Endlass paths
Dark sunspots
Juxtaposition
To the light
Barren wastelands
Arid deserts
Where the only weather
Is black
To another place
Invisible barrier
The holder of life
The prevention of death
Electricity builds up steadily
In the place just below
Where mechanical beasts
And birds
Fly ever so slow
A red light flashes
Soccer fans cheer
New reign of terror elected
New hope is born
An old tap drips
Chalk on the pavement
Leave for the grind once more
A lone tree falls down
Stopwatches stop
Sundials are worthless
A butterfly flaps its wings
And then,
Everything you ever knew and didn’t know
Is gone

I like the picture it painted... I don't know if that came across to everyone or just me but either way.... it seemed impressive.
