That Lonely Girl

by Joy   Apr 6, 2007

You pass that girl like theres no one there,
the only eye contact she gets are stares.
She walks to her house all alone,
she's probably thinking "thank god I'm home!"
Did you ever wonder how this felt?
Why do we always leave her out to melt?
What this girl needs is a friend.
Someone to put this nonsense to an end.
Even stepping gin her shoes, we'll never truly understand.
We need to help her with a lending hand.
Speak to her softly, no need to shout.
Remember those times she felt left out?
Try to imagine being her for a day.
Do you think ignoring her is going the right way?

I hope you learned more about that lonely girl,
Isn't it giving your mind a bit of a swirl?

Great job! It really makes you think about some people who don't seem to have any friends. I liked how it rhymed too. This poem is excellent - 5+/5.

Amazing message, how is it that we just forget about people and treat them like they are not there, when all they need is to have a friend! i loved your poem
