Weakened Like You

by Sarah Ann   Apr 6, 2007

I walked along your broken path
And on the way I missed no cracks.
For you were sure to hold me down,
And plaster on my face a frown

I whispered lies to those who care
Always afraid they won't be there
Hurting them as you did to all
Until it led to my downfall.

I cried, like you, a silent tear
And faced each day a brand new fear
Because you taught me what to do
I've learned to stay weakened like you.

-Old poem I found today. I posted it up here...I don't know. So I can monitor the differences from then and now. Maybe there's none. lol

This is kinda different from all the other friendship poems I've read. I was gonna try to explain what I think it's about...but I'ma end up confusing me...and you. Haha. But yeah, I liked this poem a lot, whether its old or new. Beautiful write. 5/5
