His call

Her phone begins to ring
she notices its him
she gets the biggest smile
then answers it
she simply says hey

she tries to say it so calmly
though shes going crazy
she loves him so much
and she wants to tell him
but she doesn't know how

an awkward silence
what should she say?
what should she do?
though she stays quiet
she really wants to scream

so Happy to be on the phone with him
but too quickly does it end
they both say goodbye
then hang up the phone
both wishing that they didn't hang up

she still stood there
holding the phone
5 minutes after the call was over
she whispered into the phone
I love you...IF ONLY YOU KNEW"

a little while after the call was over
hes holding his phone
wanting to tell her how he feels
wanting to text her
and tell about his love

they're so close
just a phone call away
but they don't understand
if only they would tell each other
things would be easier
