Looking Back

by Kissa   Apr 6, 2007

I am the child in the mirror,
Looking back at the girl without a care,
What happened to you, double?
Did life treat you unfair?

Did you not give time a standing ovation?
Did you not take any pride?
Eyes are swollen, bleeding from the soul,
Did me and you collide?

I do not recognize you, from my memories,
I remember when you lost me,
You over took time and forgot yourself,
You grew up and set your childhood free.

Look at all those scars, how did that happen?
What are those pills for?
I thought you and me were always happy together?
Now you're rotten to the core.

Don't you remember the times we had,
That childhood comes to bring?
Oh no wait, you cant do,
You dont remember a thing.

What is that gun for?
Are we playing another game?
Cock it back, go on I dare you,
Truth is, you've gone insane.

Don't forget me, I couldn't bare,
To think you'd push yourself aside,
Will you re-unite you and me,
When you commit our suicide?
