Treachery

by Marc Ortiz   Apr 6, 2007

Farewell, thou boy of my first love and joy
Treachery! Too much to forgive lov'd boy
Two months has flowed and this happened to me.
Oh, could I lose all hope now, for why? For why..

If love were words your language is unclean
Speak little devil; tell the truth for me
Spare me please. The anguish is tormenting.
Youre killing my soul. Stop in the name of god

Youve played with my frail heart, my peaceful soul
You were careless to break my peaceful soul
Someone save me from this hell. Someone please..
Ill be all right without you; boy, farewell

#1. This was quite a nice read, Marc; in fact, it was quite interesting to note how finely written your earlier works were. Ah! Treachery, treachery; what a disgusting word! Like Pooja, I too find the following line quite eye-catching and compelling:

"If love were words your language is unclean"

Nice one, nevertheless. Thanks for sharing.

    Best wishes,

    ^^=) Very powerful lines..
    True...so well said

The rest of the poem has good choice of words...though punctuation is a problem..Well expressed emotions...conveyed in a simple way..
    Good job!
