Does Pride Pay?

What is pride?

Can we pick it up?

Wave it like a flag in the air?

Can we use it to change the past?

Can we use it to wage war?

Or maybe to prevent it?

Is it a game we play with those around us?

Do we use it to stamp out competition?

Can we use it to keep our loved ones with us?

To save delicate memories?

To save the world?

It may be good to the person who has it
but only those outside of pride
will see the fault in it.
