Nature's Song

by Romancing the Darker Side   Apr 8, 2007

The moon cried softly
And the trees whispered hoarsly
The grass hummed quietly
And a song was brilliantly sung

Midnight crept along
Feeling it's way through the dark
Butterflies and unicorns
Were taken for dead in the night

Majestic mountains breathed
In sync with the rain,
Moist and cooling
Though angry and afraid

Purple and red dawns
Greeted the followers:
The leaves and branches
The rivers and streams

A mother called the morning
And allowed it to break on through
The sunshine surrounded
Shooting through the darkness

A well once-dried
Has become full again
And animals thought extinct
Began to breathe once more

A new day was welcomed
As was the new harmony
Nature sings together once again
In perfect tune with itself
