I wonder if you were here today
What would you think of the world?
What would you think of what we have become?

You were a military man
But I wonder if you would have supported
All the things that are going on today
Everything we hear on the news is bad.
More people killed, more battles lost.

Sometimes I stop and think about it
All this violence scares me
I wish you were still here to calm my fears.
