Short lived utopia

by Summer   Apr 9, 2007

For that one brief moment
Everything seems to be fine
Life seems to be perfect
So simple so divine.

For that one brief moment
My utopia returns
My heart is relieved
But the fire still burns.

For that one brief moment
As my wrists bleed their best
My soul is set free
My mind finally rests.

After that one brief moment
The pain comes back for more
The heartache begins
And my hurt is simply ignored.
