Playing games

by Ashlee   Apr 9, 2007

** i dont know if this counts as a poem.. **

As the little boy sits on the floor
he hopes this time it doesnt leave a sore
the leather sound is so familiar
As they play, his dad becomes the winner

playing this game every night gave the boy such fright
he jumps and shivers with every sight

nothing more than a lifeless boy is left sitting on that lonely floor

waiting for a different game while he tries to make the agony go away
