Nature of Life

by Fixxxer   Apr 9, 2007

In a world where the weak don't last.
I reside where the stream flows fast.
By the bank life passes me by
and I sit and sigh as I wait to die.

Passing eyes looking back at me
Anchored gaze drifting aimlessly.
How I wish I could uproot now
rip apart the ground, but I fear I'd drown.

When your young in the shallow end,
the flow's slow and time's your friend.
But you grow, the water gets low
and you seem to know when it's time to go.

Born to live, but destined to die.
You wonder, but you'll never know why.
Make your life, dont let it make you
because if you do, you'll get stuck here too.

Those two lines are my favorite. They're like nothing Ive ever read. This whole poem is like nothing Ive ever read. It made me think and made me wonder. I really liked it. Excellent!

    keep it up.
