Glow of the Stars

by Unrequited   Apr 10, 2007

Tonight i relinquish all that resides within my soul unto your name.

and will this be enough?
i cannot hold myself to search for treasures in the darkness, for you left there long ago.
we are visions of ourselves behind the mirrors, cold and selfish as we wipe the sorrow from our lips.
we must devour the distance with nothing but our soulful grace, and hope that we may conquer life.

this is the end of all we have known. the silence gives, as our romance lives.

can i be enough?
in sovereign slumber, we reclaim lost ashes from our innocence. we feel eternity begin to boil within our veins, for with this light, we shall live beneath the glow of the stars.
bedtime stares release our fears, and bring us to beauty formally unknown.

and here we are. this rapture has taken hold, and your heart reflects the ideal of perfection.

a shadow lingers, aching to burn our hope.
give in to the rebirth of stolen promises, and we will destroy the callous tongues that pierce our skin.
the sunshade is calm, and weathers the stones inside our bones.
i bring you in, to feel your fire. our hearts are set aflame, and in this heated winter, we melt the stars into a passionate light.

let us put our heads together, and dream the same dream. and in this treasured dream, you will be loved, and safe within these arms.

*~*Yeah, this is very much a prose poem, in a way. I'm not exactly sure what I was trying to say throughout it, but I certainly had love on my mind...
