Why we make collect calls and wear overcoats

by AlaSkA   Apr 10, 2007

My apnoea complex
random fired synapse
from aerosol addiction
and writing on the wall
i cant but think, i slept through it all
alchemy
achieved from assault and battery
figments of farce-
leave me dead and dreaming

Apnoea : the cessation of breathing while asleep.

I hate to repeat myself but I have to in this case- simply impressive.
This piece seem simple but it is so overwhelmingly intricate. I admire your writing skills. Your choice of words here is superb, and they form such outstanding images and deep meaning. I can relate to this in a way but I probably don't have the same interpretation of these lines as you. Anyway, this is remarkable- that is the only word I can remember to describe such powerful piece.
Just one critique: Did you wrote 'i' and 'cant' with some purpose I can't see? Maybe it would look better if it would be "I" and "can't" but that's truly minor comparing to the depths of the poem.
    Fantastically done.

Okay I may be completely wrong...but I wonder, if you do not breathe while sleeping, and you think you may have slept through it all...
Then it ties together very well with the last line, dead and dreaming.
I feel like a complete idiot trying to analyze this, lol. I enjoy that it seems like a puzzle, but at the same time...I don't enjoy making a fool of myself! :) I will try another poem and see if it will make more sense to me.

It was randomly...perfect! the only part that really got me confused and like "and ur point is...?" was the alchemy part.

If u could explain (if u wish) what that means id GREATLY appreciate it.

    Even if I don't TOTALLY understand, i still give it a 5/5!

:) It's like a nerd wrote it. That's a good thing I love it when people use words that are not commonly used in real life. When I have kids I'll raise them on reading and memorizing random words from the dictionary and playing scrabble. Whenever my dad plays something unfamilair I ask why can't people use words like that all of the time?! If we never do our vocabularies will never expand! I give it a five for being very unique from the typical poem. Good job.
