The Devil Inside

by Krzysztof J   Apr 10, 2007

Two sides to every story,
The truth and the lie,
The hope and the despair,
That life just doesn't hide,

We talk of our pain,
How we aren't good enough,
How no ones ever satisfied,
And how we try so hard.

We do not even notice,
The ones that love us most,
Instead we cast aside them,
And the happiness they bought.

When given the whole world,
We cringe and moan out loud,
Happiness is just to boring,
The pain is so much fun.

Why do we love the trouble?
The pleasure that comes from pain?
The sadness that we cause,
The blood that flows in vain.

The lil one keeps talking,
We listen without a care,
we wage such stupid conflicts,
without a thought or care.

I beg you my dear reader,
Forget the devils there,
Be kind to your neighbor,
And love the ones who care.

    What emotion!
    "We talk of our pain,
    How we aren't good enough,
    How no ones ever satisfied,
And how we try so hard."

These lines are ones I can relate to most. 5/5
