My Baby is becoming a Mum

My baby girl is becoming a Mum,
The night that she told me I felt quite numb,
She is only 17yrs old ,
So much of her life still to unfold.

She seems to have grown up so much these past days,
Her life is on track I pray,
Her partner is there by her side,
I just hope their journey isn't a Bumpy ride.

He loves her so much,
I can tell just the way with his tender touch,
She misses him when he is not there,
I know they have a lifetime to share.

I am looking forward to the days ahead,
Her little bundle cradled up in bed,
The cuddles and kisses this little one will receive,
No one will ever conceive.
