The failure of a family

by HollywoodSmile   Apr 10, 2007

I could have killed you
i could have beaten you
i could have held you
could have cried
i wished that i had died
could have screamed
could have buried my face in your shoulder and cried

but i didn't

i screamed with rage
i hated you
but you didn't care
you couldn't care
you couldn't do anything
couldn't bare to look at me, such a disappointment
failure

i could have
but i didn't
you should have
but you didn't
you didn't even bother to say goodbye
didn't care that this loss would make me die inside

you didn't choose to hold on
you chose to lose
to escape this world

and in your place
a familiar face
looking almost the same
but you're gone
you've been gone

since the day our family fell apart
you made him go
but you also left
your body still present
but your soul is hiding
trying to act like nothing ever happened
knowing you cant forget
so you try to erase our memories
you try to make us love you for what you've done
your tries only succeed in your son,
I'm sorry, your biological son
you once had two children
you know have two stepchildren
your son tries to forget his father
as though this man is his father
i swear to you i will never forget
never forgive you
never
