Make your heart no longer sore

by Bittersweet Sundown   Apr 10, 2007

You come to me,
Tears in your eyes.
A picture of who you used to be,
Believing the lies.

You say how you feel,
Wishing your wrists were bleeding.
Not wanting for this to be real,
I can't believe what I am hearing.

You remind me of me,
Only two years ago.
I only wanted to be,
Someone people didn't know.

Hoping things would soon be okay,
But knowing what's true.
I made things this way,
And hun, so did you.

Don't make the same mistake,
I made two years before.
Prove to yourself, you're not a fake,
Make your heart no longer sore.

Don't be like me,
And let people bring you down.
Be who you want to be,
Hold your head high, without a frown.
