Mirrors and Fevers.

by HOLLYWOODxBANGBANG   Apr 10, 2007

Cotton candy lips and golden hair,
She walks by and all the gents stare,
A mini skirt and midriff shirt,
The last thing on her mind is to flirt -

She's here for the good time at the bar,
Dancing with the boys like a movie star,
They exchange words from afar but they don't know,
What she really thinks when the lights are down low -

And it hurts her baby on the floor crying,
To know that slowly his Mother is dying,
But she holds her heart together with a thread,
Each morning when she wakes to a pounding head -

But the room is spinning and she still can see,
That through the narcotics and alcohol debris,
The blurred image staring back at her,
Isn't lying through the mirrors and fevers.
