I heard your name
i didn't think much
until i heard our names together
in the same line
i held my breath
and sent a message
you replied soon after
i guess we were in the same place
at the same time
as you arrived
and i heard your name
reassurance it was you
made me nervous
i held my breath
and whispered your name
as you looked up
i noticed your eyes
so huge and blue
as they stared into mine
we lay there together
not noticing the time

with your hand on mine
as i felt your arms around me
it was like nothing I'd felt before
just to be around you
to be the one next to you
was too good to be true
as your lips touched mine
i pulled away
scared of losing
something so fine
but it wasn't long before
again, your lips were on mine
your tongue so soft
i had never felt more protected
as we became tired
and you decided to go
you hugged me bye
and said that soon i would know
i waited and waited
for you to call
wanting to hear your voice
wondering if I'd hear from you at all
now I'm not quite sure
it's been a while since then
I've heard from you a few times
but haven't seen you again
sometimes i get the feeling
that there's more things we could have done
but sometimes i wonder
what if you were the one?
