Treasure Every Kiss

I want to write a poem
To tell you how I feel
Everything is wonderful
It almost seems surreal

I'm slowly coming around
To the thought of being with you
I'm beginning to trust you more
And really enjoy the things we do

When you kiss me I see fireworks
Shooting off into the sky
When you touch me it's like a drug
Because I feel so high

When you hold me close
In your arms so tight
The pain and suffering goes away
And everything's alright

This may seem like a love poem
But I promise you it is not
It's just emotions going wild
If I fall, I know I'll be caught

When you told me last night
That you wanted to be serious with me
It brought tears to my eyes
Because with you is where I want to be

I want to be the one to make you happy
The one to make you smile
The one that no matter what
I'll see you in a little while

So far we haven't been separated
Not even for a day
And we haven't grown tired
Not even in the floor where we lay

We stay awake to talk
And just to be together
I haven't felt this special
I know in forever

I just hope you don't get scared
And run the other way
Because with me by my side
Is where I hope that you will stay

We'll have to help each other
On how to handle this
Think about every emotion
And treasure every kiss
